Lisa's Diary - Today was really exciting for Lisa.

Today the snow hit Gloucester! We took Lisa out for a walk and it was snowing heavily. At first she was reluctant to go on a walk because of the cold but she soon got very enthusiastic and was speeding up during our walk! Lisa has now learnt how to pee in one place! Before she was walking and peeing at the same time but now she does it in one place and she also defecates in one place and not whilst walking, which makes it so much easier to clean up!Today was an educational day for her as we went through her training of learning how to sit. We did the first few goes with a few treats then carried on with just affection. She was reluctant but did sit finally. We repeated this for a while longer then gave her a break.A few hours after we repeated this training with her and then moved on to training her to lay down. She's doing very well each day and makes progress nicely however slow it is, the pleasure for both owner and dog is there.Lisa is demonstrating her happiness more and more these days, there isn't a day that goes by where she doesn't have one of her wild runs around the house or extreme tail wagging! My friend came over today and played with lisa and her ball, we stuffed her kong with a few dried treats and this seemed to interest her a lot.The best thing about Lisa is the way how she focuses on her family. Her eyes are always on me, until the last minute she falls asleep to have a little nap. This is a friendship of the highest level, one that is pure and loyal.

Lisa's Diary!

Lisa went on her walk today and was a really good girl. She had a few dogs barking at her whilst we waited outside Tesco but she didn't react, she just sat there really chilled out! Its great walking her during busy and quiet times because during the busy times (as in during the day) she gets to meet lots of people and experience different stimulating things such as cars going past, bycicles and people in general. Today she made a new friend, two women who walked past and decided to say hello! Many of the locals know our Lisa now as she's such a friendly and gentle girl!I'm very proud to say that she has also started to master the command "sit" although she will only obey this command if she can see that we have a treat waiting for her so now we are trying to just reward her with lots of affection but without the treat. During her first walk with us she didn't know she was supposed to stop before being allowed to cross road by us, but now we have this underway, as we make her stop then wait then cross when it's clear. So now she will no longer walk forward on the lead if we approach the end of a road, rather she will slow down if I slow down then if I raise my palm and say stop she will stop. Although these days we take a while longer to cross because she hasn't fully mastered the command "sit" yet but is making steady progress as we always ensure she has sat down before we cross the road. we try to keep her training short and with lots of fun.since bringing Lisa home we have started to notice a different side to her, she is much more playful - she will run around the house and wag her tail very energetically. she has also started to jump up onto people but we correct her the moment she starts.

In what way to wear long skirtsto look fantastic

Among the finest fashion designers today is Rachel Roy. She at all times presents marvelous collections that is why numerous ladies have a preference wearing Rachel's clothes. Rachel Roy is known for special occasional dresses which are incredibly feminine and stunning. Her this time of the year collection is great, and the collection was an absolute accomplishment for the designer. Among the a lot of items that were presented were long skirts. Very long skirts were for a long time known as an old-fashioned type of clothes, however not any longer. Rachel Roy showed in the collection that ladies in the present day are weary from wearing legging and pants always. So, that's why we've seen a lot of long skirts on runways this time of the year. Rachel Roy states that you will find plenty of advantages of wearing long skirts. These skirts can seem wonderful on every body shape if worn in the ideal way. You can be huge, very small, tall or short; if you balance a shirt and a long skirt, you're going to appear marvelous. When you desire to look incredibly fine in a long skirt, you need to pair it with large top. If a skirt is much fuller, then you need to be more fitted well on top. Sometimes you could wear a top with a belt. You could also wear a cardigan that will put emphasis on your waist. Just bear in mind that it is vital to show you have a shape behind loose clothes.Cause a lot of men and women believe that you need to wear long skirts simply for a ceremonial occasion, not numerous ladies really wear them during a day. On the other hand, this time of the year women need to think about getting long skirts for the reason that some skirts made from, let's say, cotton could be actually extremely relaxing. If you believe that a long skirt is somewhat too casual in that case wear a shiny t-shirt to it. Think about buying pencil skirt- one of the favorite Roy's long skirts. Get pencil skirt from an elastic material, so you won't feel uncomfortable when you be dressed in it. And, of course, just purchase some things that will flatter your body, after that you'll take pleasure in wearing it a lot, and you'll look very stylish this year just like Rachel.

Happy Nubi Year

Mom has gone and got herself a high powered job which means she doesnt get online much, so I had a word in her shell like at weekend, and said sort it out mom, I will never be famous for the right reasons if people dont get to see my diaries.....Thank goodness 2011 is over. I had a shadow hanging over my firsts of everything with new owners. I have now been home for over a year, and it is nearly my 3rd birthday. I havent done anything which warrants putting me to sleep for over three months, but after my last event, I don't want to upset them again. We've started to do some off leash work again, which we all thought would never happen. No muzzle, no dogmatic, and definitely no livestock! My second attempt was fantastic, I ran round and round in circles, finally landing at my moms feet when I could run no more. Now the initial burst is out of my system, i come straight away. I cause lots of problems with my branch habit. I love carrying sticks, then ripping them to pieces, but have recently taken to those still attached to trees. It is funny to watch, but not so funny for mom when I hit her in shins with trees! I am on a glucosamine supplement for my shoulder, and it doesnt give way as much now. I am much more of a pet now than I have been before. We all know our limits, and if I am grumpy, I stay in my crate. The rest of the time, I sit as close, sometimes on top of, my dad. Mom sometimes gets a look in but dad has spent loads of time with me recently because of work. I have heard that I am going to be treated to my own cushion for the front room, as well as my crate bed, as i prefer to be where the action is. I look forward to that. Mom and dad are planning Skye again, which I adored. The Stein Inn is dog friendly, and I even had an admirer in the form of a rhodesian ridgback. The humans wouldnt let me too close to her though, as I still have other plans where dogs are concerned. Other than Mable. My rottie neighbour is 7, and we love each other. Mom laughs at me, as I stop, and wait when I see her, or trot to try and keep up. Shes normally off lead, and is very calm. I still have the occasional grump with other dogs, but dont go straight into kill mode any more, which is a massive relief to the humans. I am 3 in Feb, and will be on to share birthday treats with you. I may be allowed to events this year, but dont be alarmed if I have dogmatic or muzzle on. It isnt for the wrong reasons, its very much for the right ones. I have lived another year, and have a fab life of riley, so dont mind the occasional forfeit!Boleyns AnubisPS Check out Facebook if you can-I have some fantastic poses on there

I don't like vets

I'm back. I now weigh in at 57kg, the vet told mum today. I have had my second injection into my poorly shoulder, and should be well enough to cause Skye some havoc when I go in. Where do I begin?! I was extremely naughty, which, if my collar hadn't snapped, probably woudn't have happened. I am told that I am on my ninth life, though don't quite understand! Mom and dad got a nasty man in, and haven't been as much fun since. I am only allowed leash walks, and want to run, but I am generally a good boy. I am corrected if my ears raise at other animals, by a water spray, which is awful! If I decide to carry on, I get a (water) bomb. Needless to say, I don't generally go that far!The leash walks threw up a problem, my front leg kept giving way. It seems I was fine throwing myself around fields when the weight didnt touch the ground much, but not very good walking. I was giving sleeping drugs, and had an xray, which showed a bit of cartilage causing me problems in my right shoulder. I have had my second injection today, and it seems to be working. Its actually quite good, as mummy gives me treats after, even though it doesnt hurt! My new favourite toy is a pepparami on rope, it tastes fab. I can't say that I am entirely a reformed character, yet, but I am working on it. I had to laugh at mum today though-I decided to have a poo right in front of the local councillor and his terrier(off leash-silly man). Mom didnt know whether to correct me and keep me away from his dog, or pick up the pooh-it was funny to watch Anyway, Im going to scotland in two weeks, and will definitely put some pics of me on when I get back. The humans keep taking me to the pub to socialise, and I am wreaking havoc as everyone wants to fuss me. Lets hope the scots are the same.See you soonNubi xxxx

Nubi's diary

Hello all, and thank you to all of you that have been asking about me as I havent been on here lately. I'm doing really well. Mom has put lots of her pics on facebook(vicki vallance) so that everyone can see how well I look(I repeat well, and not fat!) Can you believe it? I have just had my 6 month anniversary with Lee and Vicki. They fed me kidney and veg for breakfast, then some nice bones for tea. Mom says I am like the Queen, I have two birthdays, whiihc is fine by me if thats the celebration dinner! I have settled in soooooo well. Mom tried to get a pic of me last night, on my back in my crate with all fours in the air whilst snoring, but I caught her and moved. My typical day starts by coming out of my run at 630, for fuss and sometimes toast, then walk in the fields with mom for an hour. I sometimes chase rabbits(one of which didnt get away) or deer whilst its so quiet, but there are no other dogs for me to chase. Breakfast is served after my rest, then typically, I annoy dad for fuss, then back across other fields at tea time. I love running around off lead. Last night was an adventure as this huge yellow thing which got my heckles up last week was back, but it was moving. The corn has all gone, which means lots of new smells for me, but the combine harvester(mom told me off for trying to fight it last week) was really noisy. The annoying farmer had moved his cows again, to which I expressed my annoyance. The cow didn't seem to mind or even flinch. I was licking my lips, thinking steak, but it still didnt move. I still don't like other dogs, sometimes I'm fine, other times I brew quietly in pub gardens, and wait for the other to provoke a long low bark, which seems to work. I also guard mom and dad when they're in the back garden, cos I wouldnt want anything to happen to them. I aren't sure if next door but ones cat counts as a threat, but I still make sure I see it off. Dad generally opens the front door to mom, when she comes home from work, and I bound over to see her, but I am very much a daddys boy(without being too soft.....) Anyway, thats me for now, I just wanted you all to know that I continue to do well, and I'm sure I would have sorted some of that riot out with my fellow corsos, those alsations just didn't do it for me!See you soon, maybe even at Newark if I behave

Holy Cows

Hello, hope you've all missed me?!I'll start with the important point that mummy still has a bad back, caused by rugby tackling labradors, as it is quite relevant. She has only been doing the short(boring) walks on the lead. Me and dad have been having great adventures across new fields, with me running until I can run no more. Anyway, mummy decided that she was going to try and take me across the fields. I love doing this trip, as it involves a rather comical scene of me getting into the back of a very nice mini cooper. I only once went in with the seats down, and wasnt comfortable, so I chewed the corner of the seat as a bit of a soother. Needless to say, I now lounge on the whole of the very comfy back seat. We arrived at the field, and mummy parked up. Mummy decided that it was safe to go without the dogmatic, but wanted to take it anyway. I just wanted to play with my Kong wubba and was being a bit of a pain trying to pull it out of her pocket whilst she was trying to organise treats, dogmatic, keys etc. She kept feeling around as though she'd forgotten something, but I was desperate to run through that long grass, and try and eat as much as I can.We got to the second field, which has a lovely pile of manure that I have to be steered away from-I like rolling in pooh. We got halfway across, and mummy let me off. I bounded after my toy, and mummy seemed really relaxed. Over the footbridge into the next field. Theres something else I should have told you. The farmer that has these fields is extremely security conscious. Thereis barbed wire, and mesh wire now surrounding the fields. Mummy and I used to shortcut a gap where we could both get under in to the crop field where we start, but can not do this any more. We played and played, through the next 2 fields. Mummy turned to appreciate the view. She went a strange colour, and muttered something about us having a problem. I was fine, so didn't seem too bothered, and carried on charging around. Mum tried to slow me down, and said that we may have a challenge. Pah, what challenge?! What mummy hadn't told me was that the second field, which we now HAVE to go through to get back to the car as we can no longer shortcut, was now FULL of cows, bulls and calves. I'm OK with them most of the time, but you can imagine 50+ cows, similar number of calves, all next to the gate we have to go through to get out. Mummy thought we would be able to get under the footbridge, down the brook under the undergrowth to get to the first crop field, but we were met by barbed wire, and lots of sinking mud. Oh dear. Mummy looked like she was going to cry. She took me up the bank(near a very VERY large white cow), and asked me to sit. Given the choice of being kicked to bits or sitting, I sat. She put on the dogmatic(apparently for my own safety), and proceeded to walk the long way around the outer edge of the field. She told me we were going to get to the top of the field behind the manure they were all eating, and sneak through the gate unnoticed. Imagine mission impossible music playing, we walk around the field, we get to the top fence, we are still in one piece when.......A Calf plonks itself in front of the gate. Mummy muttered quite a few things I can repeat, and we had to turn round. Now that field is not just cattle proof, it is Nubi proof, and we were not getting out any other way than through the friendly farmer who has made is so impossible to get out of's yard. I'm now knackered-I wish I hadn't run through that last field when momma told me not to. Mum stopped, and thought. If she could ring dad, he could ring the farm, or come and get us, and take us the miles plus back to the car. Now where had she put her phone, the one she takes everywhere. Yup, it was on the seat of the very nice mini. We were both pretty much running out of steam and ideas, when a miracle occurred. The cattle changed direction, and calmly started walking back the other way. 3 miles probably turned into 6 with how we did it, but mummy was so relieved. She mentioned soiling her pants at one point, but I'm not quite sure what she meant. Moral, if there could be a cow in a field, make damn sure there isn't before you run like a loon!Needless to say, tonight, I will appreciate my short boring walk MUCH more xxxx

Hello window cleaner

Yipppeeeeee!!!!Mum has done her back in, which means she is here at home for fuss, fuss, and more fuss. Momma thinks I'm being a bit clingy, but I just want to show her how much I love her.I thought I was being restrained-she came and sat on the patio yesterday, and I got up. I know you humans have this thing about space being invaded, but what about dogs? She got the hump and went inside. I thought it would be fun to go inside after her to show I still loved her. She wanted to rest, so I left her alone, with the sweet smell of my bum. Sorry mum, but thats what cauliflower does for me!I barked yesterday-at thin air, or at least that is what she thought. I know what I was barking at. Today, I had a strange experience. The window cleaner is a friend of mummy's(no rude jokes please). I do actually quite like him, but was most intrigued when i saw ladders going up at the front of the house. Mum put me in my lucky dog, and I watched him clean the windows. I didn't quite get it, so had to have a sniff around after he'd gone-there was nothing exciting, which was a big disappointment for me. :( He did comment on how much weight he thought i'd lost-think that comment was mine, not mums?(wishful thinking mum!)I'm being good for vicki with her back-didn't even try and fend off the whole herd of cows and bulls in the field next to where we walk, which i thought was exceptional. She keeps on with the dogmatic, but it pulled the scab off my nose yesterday, so I am the next scarface! I'm still looking after mum, which I think may be the root of my dog angst!Anyway, back to what I do best, sleeeeeepppppppppppp!bye for now x

In which I am a little naughty.......

I have to say that mummy and daddy debated about letting me tell you about this. I thought, a little, and my naughty streak started, so I'm going to do it anyway!I'm very good on walks with my dogmatic on, and am not allowed to go off lead unless mum and dad are 110% sure that no other dogs are near, or wildlife etc. Mum also has vocal cords that are sent to maybe match jojo's when harrassing other owners to put their dogs on leads. We'd had a lovely walk, very early on Saturday. We had gone to the lovely pub that has huge fields and public foot path, so that we were out of the way-apparently, most of you humans will know why? Having got to the last field before returning to the car, a huge retriever off lead came bounding, about 200 metres. Mum shouted, the owner shouted back, but didn't call his dog. The dog and I had a tousle, and eventually it got bored, and wandered back to its owner. I don't hear mum get mad very much, but she was cross with the man, as his dog didnt even have a collar on. He apologised etc etc etc. We carried on across the field, when obstacle number 2 came bounding across the stream(from a field full of sheep and lambs that mum and dad wouldnt let me in to play) in the shape of a small chocolate labrador. Mum has seen jolyons thread about yorkshire terriers, and pointed out that different dog, different day, and no yorkie. That was very nearly what happened. I have been sooooooooo subduued this week. I have a scratch on my face, and a chris eubank type cut. The lab has an ear a bit smaller than it started. I was on my lead, but I will not take other dogs charging at me, whether their intent is genuine or not. The owner of the labrador(even though I did wag, and want fuss afterwards), seemed to realise the error of his ways. Mummy is covered in bruises from her shoulder to her toes, from trying to get the labrador away from me and dad. Mummys confidence is starting to come back, as this wasn't the first time that I have not wanted to play with other dogs, though this was by far the worst. There is talk of me having a muzzle, but momma jojo thinks that I may at times need to defend myself, so this is undecided. We are walking, albeit out at 06.00 in the morning, which I am getting used to, and mummy actually seems quite relaxed with that. The objective of my tail is to ensure that you all know, no matter how lovely we look, you never know what other dogs will do. I love the rottie bitch, who's dad mummy talks to, and can relax when she's around, but that doesn't mean I can be trusted..........Big hugs to dad-it hasn't been a nice week, but you're learning fast, and I promise not to be as clingy next week

I love Sunday dinner

Hello, and thank you for catching up with my diaries-thinking about seeing if I can get a film made now that my horrible moult is finally coming to an end. The only sad part is that my new collar doesn't fit, so if anyone has a any offers for a beautiful half check, inbox mummy!Yesterday was a fun day. We went to the local beer garden, and for once, I wasn't the only doggy. 2 huge fluffy things that definitely seemed to have a moult problem greeted me. Daddy said they were Chow Chows. Don't know what they were, but they definitely had problems-my pink tongue never looks that colour, even when Ive emptied mummy's flower beds! I had a special dinner. Boiled chicken meat, rice and veg. I keep telling mum that I don't like cauliflower, and keep pooping on her foot to make the point, but she doesnt seem to be taking the hint. Mummy and daddy have been doing more research on my diet, and if this is the result, bring it on!I'm now insured, which I assume is a good thing, as the humans have been trying to sort it for some time. Mum has taken some time off work this week to spend with me. Whey hey!!!! More walks! And, she's bought me a paddling pool, whatever one of those is. It looks like fun, but I have also heard the shampoo word, so hope she hasn't got any ideas.Mummy has decided that the show is too soon for me to make a public appearance, as there will be other dogs around, but I hear I might be going to a car show instead. I am going to keep trying to behave so that I can get out and see other dogs, but as my social skills are not the best, it will be later in the year. Anyway, got to go, need a nap after all this sunbathing! Nubi xxxxx
